In 1955, charted as Yuda Commercial Vocational School Taoyuan Campus, Taoyuan Yuda opened its doors to 150 senior one students.
In 1976, with more than two thousand students, this school became independent and changed its name to Taoyuan Yuda Vocational School.
In 1999, Taoyuan Yuda received ISO-9002 certification for its quality on education management.
In 2002, Taoyuan Yuda refocused itself as a college preparatory institution and then, changed its name to Taoyuan Yuda High School.
